In January 2013, Jonas had an engagement ring made using jewelry that belonged to his grandparents. He used gold from a pair of his grandmother's (dad's side) earrings to create the ring. He used a star sapphire that was brought back from Burma by his grandfather to give to his grandmother (mom's side) just after World War II.
He took Ashley to the Berkeley Rose Garden, where his parents first kissed, and after walking around for a while they sat down on a bench. Just after the sun set, Jonas put his arm around Ashley and asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes!- Jonas (Albany, CA)
- I took my time opening this little treasure as I knew it was going to be a delightful treat, but was not really prepared for the full effect. To say I am pleased is an understatement, to say I am beyond words with the beauty is the truth. I took the necklace out of the box and just looked at it for a bit and then put it back in the box. I kept sneaking a peak at it and was then ready to put it on! (I am quirky with these things!) Now I am wearing this beautiful piece of jewellery (art) and feeling like I am so blessed to have it. Thank you so much for the peace and beauty you have created for me, such a pleasure, and a piece I can keep for my kids and pass down when the time comes. I will have a spectacular story to go with it!- Denise (Calgary, Canada)
